In the first of what will be a regular post, I want to introduce you to the talented creatives behind some of the handcrafted gifts discovered and offered within the Creative Finds store. So here we are - 2018 is well underway -  in fact there's  only 11 months until the festive season is here again! After a crazy, busy lead up to Christmas, I submitted a leave form to myself and had January off the business hamster wheel, to re-group, re-charge and re-assess whilst soaking up the super summer sun and hanging with the family. Perusing the various artisan and design markets is one of my favourite weekend and holiday pursuits. Always on the hunt for original and stylish products, I love to chat to the makers and – in all the name of research - make a few purchases! Below are just 3 of my favourite recent finds to share with you. This delightful Pom Pom making kit by Julie Nicholson was picked up at the Avalon Market last month. This market is bigger than Ben Hur and had so much Handcrafted Goodness from both near and far, that I couldn’t even make it...

While handmade is the new black, artisan markets are the new shopping mall. Often held outside and the ability to meet the makers is certainly preferable in my mind, to tackling those super centre car parks and the homogeneous store offerings. So here are a few up & coming one off Christmas Markets or Fairs in Syd/Melb/Adel. There are plenty of regular weekly markets running throughout too of course.
