If you're as old as me, you might remember your parents inviting friends over for a slide night? I'm talking pre, pre, pre, Facebook days. Like 30 years pre-Facebook. For those of you Gen Ys and younger, it was where hors d'oeuvre were served (think "pigs in a blanket"), cask wine was poured, and recent holiday happy snaps were projected onto a lounge room wall. I'm sure it was as just as excruciating as it sounds. I guess that's why there was plenty of booze served. While I'm not going to do the same to you now, I did take a few pics on my recent travels to Canada and the US when something hand-crafted caught my eye. Rather than these snaps sitting on my phone for eternity, I'm going to pop them in here to serve as both a reminder and some inspiration. I'll provide no commentary, but you still might want to pour yourself a bevy. S x
